ANNUAL OPEN STUDIO EVENT
Ruby Newman has held an annual independent open studio event in mid October from 2002 to 2010. Collectors, clients and the general public visited the studio and viewed the most recent works created. Popular Limited edition prints and original works were sold at studio prices during this event.
The Studio is now open by appointment only.
In 2009 Newman spearheaded the first Annual The Independent Open Studio Event to help artists in the area exhibit their work. This event was modeled after the traditional "Open Studio" events that have taken place throughout the Bay Area for many years. It enables serious minded artists to join in, without prerequisite of being juried or limited in their choice of expression, style or approach. the event has hosted over 24 Petaluma artists. iPOSE will continue based on the grassroots efforts of the participating artists.
