Daniel Muller is considered one of the most talented of all the turn of the century carvers. His realism that seldom could be duplicated, are prized pieces by collectors. He is especially known for his Civil War military horses with canteens, swords and gear on Outside Standers.
Daniel Muller carved for the Dentzel factory from 1890 to 1903. He and his brother then formed their own company from 1903-1914. They produced only 12 carrousels during this time. This simple jumper is from that period and considered rare and highly desirable.
